The Snowman Summit Caltrans station measured 3.26 inches of precipitation in 18.5 hours from 25/2240 PST to 26/1710 PST. The temperature during this time was 32F to 35F. Using a ratio of 10:1, Heavy Snow Warning criteria was met that evening around 26/0940 PST. Even though this station is in CAZ082 it is assumed that the Heavy Snow Warning criteria was met for CAZ083 as well since the geographic and weather conditions are similar to this site.

Several sites observed heavy rain this day with temperatures in the 30s and 40s F. Between 25/2356 PST and 26/1656 PST, the Mt. Shasta ASOS measured 2.29 inches of precipitation in 18 hours. The temperatures during this period was 34F-40F. The Mt. Shasta City RAWS measured 2.87 inches of precipitation in 18 hours with temperatures from 35F to 42F. Snowman Summit recorded 3.26 inches in 18.5 hours between 25/2240 and 26/1710 PST with the temperature ranging from 32-35F. It is assumed that snow fell at higher elevations and the Heavy Snow Warning criteria was met for CAZ082.
