1 funnel cloud, 1 thunderstorm wind, 1 flash flood. Local standard time, as filed.
A strong thunderstorm produced a well-developed funnel cloud near Sonoita. Video of the funnel cloud was obtained through the broadcast media. There was no direct evidence from the video that the funnel made contact with the ground.
Thunderstorm winds downed several power poles and power lines near the intersection of Pima Mine Road and Nogales Highway.
Several roads, including Sahuarita Road and Old Nogales Highway, were closed due to flooding caused by heavy rain. Franco Wash flowed across Summit Road in two spots, also resulting in its closure.
