Rapid snowmelt and ice jamming caused the Grand River at Little Eagle to rise above flood stage on March 20th. The Grand River rose to a record stage of 23.86 feet on March 23rd before falling back to below flood stage on March 25th. The previous record stage was 22.75 feet set back in 1950. Flood stage at Little Eagle is 15 feet. Pastureland along with a few roads were flooded.
