A very moist and unstable air mass was in place across the area through the afternoon and evening hours. An area of low pressure aloft moved by to our north. The southern fringes of the coolest temperatures aloft and strongest mid-level winds affected the area through the afternoon and evening.

A National Weather Service Storm Survey concluded a microburst with winds to 65 mph ripped the roof off of a single wide mobile home and partially tore the siding off of a manufactured home. Ten large trees were snapped or uprooted. The damage occurred from near Violet Road to Lynchburg Road. The path length was 230 yards. The maximum path width was 0.5 miles.
