A tropical wave passed to the north of Puerto Rico and produced scattered showers and isolated strong thunderstorms across the northwest section. These thunderstorms moved slwoly north northwest and produced a waterspout that was reported moving inland near the Ramey sector of Aguadilla. Two homes suffered exterior damage due to the wind gusts that were estimated by residents around 40 mph.

.SYNOPSIS...AN UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL FORM NORTHWEST OF THE LOCAL
AREA IN A TROUGH CREATED BY THE LOW WHICH HAS ENHANCED A TROPICAL
WAVE MOVING WEST THROUGH THE AREA. AN AREA OF STRONG CONVECTION IS
CONTINUING IN THE APEX OF THIS WAVE ON THE FAVORABLE SIDE OF THE
UPPER LEVEL LOW. AS THE UPPER LEVEL LOW MOVES WEST
SOUTHWEST...ONLY MODEST MOISTURE AT LOWER LEVELS WILL MOVE THROUGH
THE AREA.

.DISCUSSION...MIMIC SHOWS MAXIMUM PRECIPITABLE WATER OVER THE
NORTHEASTERN LEEWARD ISLANDS AND SPREAD IN A FAN TO THE NORTHWEST
THROUGH THE CONVECTION THAT HAS BEEN BREWING AROUND THE LOW
PRESSURE IN THE APEX OF THE PASSING WAVE AND JUST EAST OF THE
UPPER LEVEL LOW. THE MAXIMUM MOISTURE HAS FORMED A TAIL OUT OF
THIS CONVECTION THAT WILL PASS OVER THE LOCAL AREA FROM THE EAST
SOUTHEAST SOMETIME LATE THIS EVENING. SCATTERED CONVECTION OVER
PUERTO RICO AND A FEW SHOWERS IN THE SOUTHEAST WATERS OF THE
FORECAST AREA HAVE BEEN ABOUT ALL THIS SYSTEM HAS GENERATED FOR US
UP THROUGH 2:30 PM...HOWEVER AM EXPECTING MORE CONVECTION LATER...
MUCH AS OCCURRED YESTERDAY. AFTER THE MOISTURE PASSES FROM THIS
SYSTEM ON WEDNESDAY...MOISTURE IS UNREMARKABLE. NEXT WAVE IS
BEING FORECAST FOR MONDAY AND MONDAY NIGHT AND MODEL SOLUTIONS ARE
PROMISING MUCH BETTER MOISTURE WITH THIS SYSTEM.

Residents of Ramey sector in Aguadilla reported to emergency managers that a waterspout moved inland and impacted two homes in Kelly and Grubbs streets, causing damage to the exterior facade, fence, zinc roof, roof satellite TV dishes, yard equipment, and storage sheds.
