In the early evening hours of July 19th, Severe Thunderstorm Watch 605 was issued in anticipation of severe thunderstorms developing in the vicinity of a low level moisture convergence axis and an approaching mid level short wave trough. In addition, strong diabatic heating and cold air advection aloft produced steep mid-level lapse rates which resulted in destabilization of the atmosphere.

In the early evening hours of July 19th, Severe Thunderstorm Watch 605 was issued in anticipation of severe thunderstorms developing in the vicinity of a low level moisture convergence axis and an approaching mid level short wave trough. In addition, strong diabatic heating and cold air advection aloft produced steep mid-level lapse rates which resulted in destabilization of the atmosphere. Several severe thunderstorm warnings were issued. Several reports of large hail and one report of a severe thunderstorm wind gust were received during the evening hours.
