IN COLORADO...WE HAVE UPDATED THE FORECAST FOR TONIGHT. SATELLITE
DERIVED PRECIPITABLE WATER AND LAPS LIFTED INDICES SHOW CONDITIONS
FAVORABLE FOR AT LEAST ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE OUTFLOW FROM
THE CONVECTION EARLIER THIS EVENING IN THE NEBRASKA PANHANDLE AND
NORTHEAST COLORADO. IT APPEARS THAT THE CONVECTION WILL REMAIN
CONFINED TO THE AREA SOTH AND EAST OF AN OGALLALA-NORTH PLATTE...

MODELS IN FAIR AGREEMENT IN THE NEAR TERM AND WILL USE A BLEND.
SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING SOUTH INTO THE NORTHERN PLAINS
COLDER THAN MODELS HAVE INDICATED. LOWS WILL DROP INTO THE LOW 50S
TONIGHT WITH MAINLY CLEAR SKIES HAVE UNDERCUT COOLEST GUIDANCE.
BOUNDARY HAS PUSHED WELL SOUTH AND WEST OF FORECAST AREA HAVE GONE
WITH A DRY FORECAST. UPSLOPE FLOW COMBINED WITH STATIONARY
BOUNDARY WEAK WAVE AND NOSE OF 250MB JET ON FRIDAY WITH MU CAPES
AROUND 1500 AND UNSTABLE AIRMASS HAVE INCLUDED POPS FOR SOUTHWEST
ZONES ON FRIDAY. SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING SIMILAR WITH
BOUNDARY AND BEST DYNAMICS OVER EASTERN COLORADO. HAVE LEFT
SOUTHWEST ZONES DRY.
IN THE EXTENDED HAVE USED A BLEND OF ECMWF AND GFS LEANING MORE
TOWARDS GFS SOLUTION. AS LARGER SYSTEM MOVES ONTO THE NORTHERN
PLAINS ON SUNDAY MOISTURE AND HEAT RETURN WITH INCREASING
SOUTHERLY FLOW. LLJ INCREASES TO 30+KTS OVERNIGHT. CAP MAY BE TOO
STRONG TO OVERCOME. HAVE RETAINED SLIGHT CHANCES. REINFORCING WAVE
WILL KEEP SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS INTO MONDAY. HIGH PRESSURE
BUILDS IN AGAIN ON TUESDAY WITH A BOUNDARY TO THE WEST OVER THE
