Widespread light snow showers moved across eastern Kentucky on April 7. Snowfall accumulations from 1 to 4 inches in general. The highest reported snowfall totals occurred in Breathitt and Wolfe counties with 4 and 3 inches respectively in Jackson and Campton.

A coop weather observer measured 2.5 inches of snowfall in Beattyville.
An NWS employee measured 3.8 inches of snowfall in Jackson.
An NWS employee measured 2.9 inches of snowfall in Campton.
An NWS employee measured 2.8 inches of snowfall in Jackson.
White out conditions and 1.5 inches of snow accumulation were reported in Thornton. The visibility at time of the report was less than one quarter of a mile with snow covered roads.
A coop observer measured a half inch of snow accumulation and observed thunder and lightning with the snow shower 4 miles north of Beattyville.
One inch of new snow accumulated bewteen 8 and 9 am, with a total of 1.7 inches on the ground.
One half inch of snow was measured on the ground in Thornton with very heavy snow still falling.
One inch of snow fell in Stanton between 5:30 and 7:30 am.
