Seven inches of snow was reported in Russell Springs with eight inches in Winona.
Seven inches of snow was reported in Quinter, eight inches in Gove and six inches in both Grainfield, and 10 miles southwest of Gove.
Snowfall of three to five inches during the day resulted in slick roads and dozens of vehicle accidents through the evening hours. A total of five injuries were reported in the accidents. Property damage noted is from the injury accidents only.
Six inches of snow was reported in Hoxie and seven inches near the Gove County line.
Six inches of snow was reported in Hill City.
Two to four inches of snow fell during the day, causing numerous traffic accidents, including a two vehicle accident resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The property damage noted relates only to the injury accident.
Snow totals included seven inches in Dresden and five inches in Oberlin.
Eight inches of snow was reported in Norton.
As the offices recorded each death: direct deaths were caused by the weather itself, indirect ones by something it set in motion.
