HIGH H7 MOISTURE. WHILE LI/S ARE FCST TO BE SLIGHTLY
POSITIVE...CANT RULE OUT CONVECTION IN KERN COUNTY TOMORROW AND
ADDED A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR THE AFTERNOON. TUES STILL LOOKS LIKE THE
MOST ACTIVE DAY FOR THE MTNS/DESERTS.

.FROM PREVIOUS DISCUSSION...

THE WEAK UPPER TROUGH WILL REMAIN OVER THE REGION AND WILL
CONTINUE TO PROVIDE GENERALLY MILD CONDITIONS THROUGH NEXT
WEEKEND. ENERGY ROTATING THROUGH THE BASE OF THE TROUGH WILL
TRACK ACROSS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THROUGH TUESDAY. CONDITIONS
TOMORROW WILL BE PRETTY SIMILAR TO TODAY...THEN EXPECT A SLIGHT
COOLDOWN TUESDAY AS THE WEAK UPPER LOW TRACKS ACROSS SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA. THIS WILL ALSO SPREAD CONVECTION CHANCES FORM THE
SIERRA INTO THE KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS.

MODELS MAINTAIN THE TROUGH OVER THE REGION INTO EARLY NEXT
WEEK...DROPPING ADDITIONAL SURGES OF SHORTWAVE ENERGY THROUGH
THE TROUGH DURING THE PERIOD. THE ECMWF IS A BIT MORE
AGGRESSIVE WITH THE SHORTWAVE TROUGHING...LEADING TO A SLIGHTLY
COOLER FORECAST. A COMPROMISE SOLUTION IN THE EXTENDED KEEPS A
SLIGHT CHANCE FOR CONVECTION OVER THE SIERRA THROUGH THE
PERIOD...WITH TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE DISTRICT REMAINING A BIT
BELOW SEASONAL AVERAGES.
