.UPDATE...
TEMPERATURES ACROSS NORTH TX DROPPED QUICKLY AFTER SUNSET. WILL MAKE
ADJUSTMENTS TO GRIDS TO ACCOUNT FOR CURRENT TRENDS. DEWPOINTS
SUGGEST CURRENT OVERNIGHT LOWS OF MID 50S-LOW 60S AREAWIDE LOOK
REASONABLE. UPPER SYSTEM OVER AR CONTINUING SSE...MAY JUST BRUSH
EAST TX SATURDAY. 00Z KFWS SOUNDING SUGGESTS MOISTURE STILL LIMITED
SO WILL CONTINUE HIDDEN 10 POPS FOR EASTERN COUNTIES. NEXT SYSTEM
STILL APPEARS ON TRACK FOR WEDNESDAY TIME FRAME. WILL EVALUATE 00Z
GUIDANCE BEFORE MAKING ANY ADJUSTMENT TO MIDWEEK PORTION OF FORECAST.

.PREV DISCUSSION... /ISSUED 326 PM CDT FRI OCT 31 2008/
DRY WEATHER WITH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO CONTINUE
THROUGH WEDNESDAY. COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE EXPECTED LATE WEDNESDAY
WILL BRING TEMPERATURES DOWN TO NEAR OR SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL FOR
LATE NEXT WEEK. OTHER THAN WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS IN EASTERN ZONES WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND WEDNESDAY
NIGHT...NO RAIN EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT 7 DAYS.

MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES EXPECTED THIS EVENING AS AFTERNOON CUMULUS
DISSIPATES QUICKLY AFTER SUNSET. A WEAK SURFACE TROUGH...CURRENTLY
ANALYZED FROM CENTRAL OKLAHOMA INTO WEST TEXAS...WILL MOVE INTO NW
ZONES TONIGHT AND INTO DFW AREA ON SATURDAY. THE TROUGH WILL HAVE
LITTLE IMPACT ON SENSIBLE WEATHER OTHER THAN TO WEAKEN SURFACE
WINDS AND PERHAPS BRING A WINDSHIFT TO THE AFFECTED AREAS.

THE UPPER LOW MOVING SSE THROUGH SOUTHERN MISSOURI THIS AFTERNOON
IS FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS ARKANSAS THIS EVENING BEFORE WEAKENING
INTO LOUISIANA AND MISSISSIPPI EARLY SATURDAY. THERE MAY BE ENOUGH
LIFT ON WESTERN PERIPHERY OF THIS SYSTEM TO ALLOW LOW-MID CLOUDS
TO PERSIST ACROSS EASTERN ZONES SATURDAY...BUT CHANCES FOR
MEASURABLE RAIN LOOK VERY LOW THIS FAR WEST. THERE COULD BE A FEW
SPRINKLES FROM HIGH-BASED SHOWERS AS FAR WEST AS A PARIS TO
PALESTINE LINE ON SATURDAY...BUT WILL NOT MENTION IN FORECAST AT
THIS TIME.

THERE IS STILL UNCERTAINTY WITH REGARD TO RAIN CHANCES WITH THE
MIDWEEK SYSTEM. RAIN CHANCES WILL DEPEND ON HOW MUCH SHORTWAVE
ENERGY MOVES ACROSS THE NORTH TEXAS LATITUDES. MEDIUM RANGE MODELS
AGREE SOMEWHAT ON TIMING OF SYSTEM...BUT THERE ARE STILL
SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES ON AMOUNT OF FORCING FOR UPWARD MOTION SOUTH
OF RED RIVER. DID NOT MAKE SIGNIFICANT CHANGES TO THE POPS FOR
MIDWEEK...WITH BEST CHANCES IN EASTERN ZONES.
