.DISCUSSION...
A FEW CONVECTIVE CELLS HAVE FORMED ALONG THE KY BORDER MOVING
TOWARD THE ESE AT 25 MPH. THIS ACTIVITY STILL SEEMS RATHER
ISOLATED IN NATURE AND WE ARE APPROACHING MAX HEATING. SOME OF
THESE CELLS MAY EVENTUALLY PRODUCE DAMAGING HAIL OR WIND BUT IT
WOULD BE ISOLATED AT BEST. WILL GO WITH 20-30 PCT POP FOR THIS EVENING
BUT WILL NOT MENTION SEVERE DUE TO THE LOW LIKELIHOOD.

ERN US TROUGH DEEPENS OVER THE NEXT 36 HRS BRINGING IN COOL AIR
FROM THE MIDWEST. HIGH TEMPS TOMORROW WILL LIKELY BE 77F-81F UNDER
MODEST NLY FLOW. NOTICED THAT GFS CONTINUES TO FORM INTENSE MINI-VORTMAXI
ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE ERN US TROUGH. THESE FEATURES GENERATE INTENSE
PRECIP MAXI. HISTORY HAS SHOWN THAT THESE FEATURES ARE HIT OR MISS
AT BEST.

THE EASTERN TROUGH GRADUALLY GIVES WAY IN THE LATTER HALF OF THE
WEEK WITH THE UPPER RIDGE OVER THE PLAINS EVENTUALLY MOVING INTO
THE OHIO AND TENNESSEE VALLEYS BY EARLY NEXT WEEK. TEMPS WILL BE
SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL THIS WEEK AND THEN CLIMB ABOVE NORMAL LATE
IN THE WEEKEND AND THE FIRST OF NEXT WEEK. I BRING BACK A SLIGHT
CHANCE OF RAIN FOR THE WEEKEND AS MOISTURE/TEMPERATURE RECOVER.
