By 6 am CST Tuesday, 2 to 3 inches of snowfall was in a 15 to 30 mile wide swath from Scott City in Scott County to Garden City in Finney County to Ness City in Ness County to St. John in Stafford County. A rather narrow band, from 5 to 15 miles wide, of 1 to 2 inches of snow fell surrounding this swath, and was basically north of a line from Syracuse (Hamilton Co) to Sublette (Haskell Co) to Jetmore (Hodgeman Co) to east of St. John (Stafford Co) to Hays (Ellis Co) to Dighton (Lane Co).
