Two to five inches of snowfall combined with a thin layer of ice to produce numerous accidents and one death due to hazardous driving conditions.

Two to five inches of snowfall combined with a thin layer of ice to produce numerous accidents and one death due to hazardous driving conditions.

One to two inches of snowfall lead to numerous accidents across portions of Southeast Kansas. Five such accidents occurred across the county, but the most serious happened when a jeep with four teenagers slid into a fence and rolled over. Only minor injuries occurred with the accident.

Two to four inches of snow fell across portions of the county resulting in numerous accidents. One such accident killed a man, when he lost control of his car and hit a tree at a high rate of speed on a city street.

Three to four inches of snowfall caused several accidents across the county. One such accident, injured a teenager, when his car slid into the path of a semi-tractor trailer along Kansas highway 96 near Haven.

One to two inches of snow produced slick conditions across portions of Southeast Kansas. One such such accident near Fredonia involved a vehicles at a railrood crossing. Once the vehicle crossed the crossing it lost control and rolled into the ditch. A passenger in the vehicle was injured and taken to the hospital.
