What happened

The episode as NWS MKX wrote it up.

A band of weakening showers and thunderstorms moved northeast through south-central Wisconsin. By the time this band reached Green Lake County, the thunderstorms had dissipated, there was no lightning, and even the rain showers had weakened. However, scattered wind damage occurred from 3.2 miles southeast of Markesan to Berlin due to evaporative cooling of the rain below cloud bases. A dry airmass below cloud bases enhanced the evaporative cooling.

.DISCUSSION...FCST FOCUS ON STORMS TONIGHT...BREAK MON AFTN/NGT
THEN MORE RAIN AND PSBL STORMS LATE TUES/TUES NGT.

WOUND UP SYSTEM OVER ERN NEB EXPECTED TO TRACK ACROSS SRN WI LATE
TONIGHT...EXITING THE EAST BY ABOUT 15Z ON MON. BIG QUESTION IS
THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WX THIS EVENING.

CURRENT LINE OF CONVECTION WITH ASSOC WATCH MAINLY DUE TO STRONG
LLV JET AND ASSOC CONVERGENCE/LIFT. MID LEVEL LAPSE RATES AROUND 7.5C/KM
ALSO HELPING STORMS TO SURVIVE DESPITE RATHER MEAGER SFC DWPNTS.
STORMS SHOULD BEGIN TO WEAKEN AS THEY MOVE THROUGH THE DRIER AIR
TO THE EAST. DWPNTS AHEAD OF THE LINE ARE STARTING TO MIX OUT INTO
THE MID 40S. BETTER...MORE MOIST...AIR EXISTS BEHIND THE LINE OVR
WRN IA AND ERN NEB CLOSER TO THE S/W POSITION. THE MID LEVEL JET
INCREASES TO 60 TO 70KTS AND COUPLE THIS WITH THE MDT TO STRONG
SHEAR PARAMETERS CLOSER TO THE S/W AND SUPPORT INCREASES FOR
REDEVELOPMENT TO THE WEST. THE LEADING LINE SHOULD MOVE INTO THE
AREA THIS EVENING...BUT WILL LIKELY JUST LIMP THROUGH...ESPECIALLY BY
THE TIME IT REACHES CENTRAL AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE CWA. BY
THE TIME THE SECONDARY LINE COMES THROUGH...DIURNAL TRENDS SHOULD
BE WORKING AGAINST THE SEVERE POTENTIAL...ESPECIALLY EAST. SO THE
SLGT RISK FOR THE WEST LOOKS GOOD...BUT DUE TO DRIER AIR IN THE
EAST AND DIURNAL CONSIDERATIONS...EXPECT THE EAST TO STAY BELOW
SEVERE LEVELS.

S/W EXITS QUICKLY MON MORNING WITH PCPN TRENDS FROM PREV FCST
HOLDING.

ANOTHER LOW APPROACHES THE AREA ON TUE AND TUE NGT...PERSISTING
INTO WED. GFS AND THE NAM ARE NOT IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH RESPECT
TO QPF. NAM MUCH FARTHER NORTH TUES NGT INTO WED COMPARED TO THE
GFS. THIS SYSTEM HAS A CLASSIC COUPLED JET ORIENTATION. THE SFC
FRONT IS LOCATED ACROSS CENTRAL IL WITH THE LW MOVING ALMOST DUE
EAST ALONG IT. THE H8 FRONT REACHES ABOUT NRN IL. THE NAM QPF WAY
UP INTO CENTRAL AND NRN WI LOOKS EXCESSIVE...BUT THE MUCH MORE SRN
PLACEMENT OF THE GFS QPF LOOKS UNREASONABLE GIVEN THE SLOPE OF THE
FRONTOGENESIS DUE TO THE DEEP UVV PROVIDED BY THE COUPLED JET.
SO...A COMPROMISE IS APPROPRIATE HERE. LOOKS COOL AND WET LATE TUE
THROUGH WED AS EAST/NE FLOW BRINGS CLASSIC WET SPRING WEATHER TO
THE AREA.

WILL HANG ONTO SOME LIGHT SHOWERS WED NGT...THEN DRY WITH A
WARMING TREND THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK.

.AVIATION...EXPECTING GUSTY SOUTH WINDS TO CONTINUE INTO THIS
