.AVIATION... /18Z TAF ISSUANCE/
VERY MOIST CONDITIONS ACROSS THE TAF SITES ATTM. COLD FRONT
CURRENTLY ALONG THE SD/MN BORDER WITH SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
INCREASING RAPIDLY OVER FAR WESTERN MN. ANOTHER AREA OF SHOWERS
AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS FROM ALBERT LEA TO NEW RICHMOND. THESE
ARE ASSOCIATED WITH SHEARING VORT/TROPICAL MOISTURE THAT BEGAN
BACK ALONG THE TX/LA BORDER DURING THE WEEKEND. NEEDLESS TO
SAY...A WET AFTERNOON/EVENING IN STORE. MVFR CEILINGS WILL
DETERIORATE AS THE SHOWERS MOVE IN. KEPT CEILINGS IN THE 1000-1500
FOOT RANGE TUESDAY MORNING IN THE WAKE OF THE FRONT ALONG WITH
INCREASING NW WINDS.

.PREV DISCUSSION... /ISSUED 412 AM CDT MON SEP 24 2007/
SLOW MOVING TROUGH WILL BE PUSHING THROUGH AN AIRMASS WITH
EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH PWAT VALUES FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. LAST
EVENINGS 40KM NAM SHOWS A SHARP BUILDUP IN PWAT VALUES OVER OUT
MINNESOTA COUNTIES AFTER SUNRISE WITH VALUES SURGING TO NEAR 2.0
INCHES BY 00Z TUESDAY OVER EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA. PRECIPITATION
TIMING APPEARS TO COINCIDE BEST WITH HIGHER VALUES (I.E. 0.50
INCH/6 HOUR) OF PWAT TRENDS AND WE HAVE USED THESE BANDS TO WORK
THE PRECIPITATION EASTWARD WITH TIME. IN THAT REGARD...IT APPEARS
THAT PRECIPITATION ONSET NEEDED TO BE SLOWED DOWN SOME OVER WHAT
WE HAD ADVERTISED IN PREVIOUS GRIDS. HOWEVER...THE HEAVY RAINFALL
WORDING IS STILL SEEN AS APPROPRIATE AND IS CARRIED WITH THIS
FORECAST PACKAGE. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL RATES FOR EAST CENTRAL
MINNESOTA NOW WILL LIKELY OCCUR THIS EVENING WITH PRECIPITATION
NOW LINGERING IN OUR WISCONSIN COUNTIES THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING.
