.DISCUSSION...
IN THE SHORT TIME FRAME...COLD ADVECTION INDUCED STRATO CU IS
WORKING SOUTHWARD BEHIND A COLD FRONT EXTENDING ACROSS EASTERN
MINNESOTA INTO SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA. SHOWER ACTIVITY HAS MIGRATED
INTO OUR FAR EASTERN WISCONSIN COUNTIES AND THESE SHOULD BE OUT OF
THE CWA OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS. BLUSTERY NORTHWEST SURFACE WINDS
CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE ENTIRE CWA SHORTLY AFTER SUNRISE AS A
STRONG RISE TO FALL PRESSURE TENDENCY COUPLET WORKS TO ACCELERATE
SURFACE FLOW.

SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO DROP ACROSS LAKE SUPERIOR
INTO TUESDAY AS WE TRANSITION FROM WEST/NORTHWEST FLOW ALOFT TO
SOUTHWEST FLOW. BOTH THE GFS90 AND ECMWF PAINT A REMARKABLY
SIMILAR PICTURE OF MAJOR JET FEATURES BY 00Z THURSDAY WITH A
SOUTHERN JET MAX ARCING ACROSS BAJA INTO SOUTHWEST KANSAS WITH A
NORTHERN MAX ARCING FROM NORTHWEST MINNESOTA ACROSS JAMES BAY.
THIS CONFIGURATION SUGGESTS COUPLING OF MAJOR JET FEATURES ACROSS
MINNESOTA WITH A SUSTAINED PERIOD OF STRONG MOISTURE RETURN FROM
THE GULF INTO THE UPPER MIDWEST. WE CARRY OUR HIGHEST POPS FOR
WEDNESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND BRING UP DEWPOINTS INTO THE
MID 40S AS OUR NEIGHBORS HAVE. HIGH TEMPERATURES RECOVER BACK INTO
THE 50S BY WEDNESDAY AND REMAIN IN THE 50S THROUGH NEXT WEEKEND.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND
SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA...AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW IS EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
MINNESOTA AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN TONIGHT...WITH AROUND ONE INCH
OF SNOW ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE ALONG AND NORTH OF A CAMBRIDGE TO
CHIPPEWA FALLS WISCONSIN LINE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

ALREADY ELEVATED RIVER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE ONCE AGAIN
TOWARD MID WEEK AS NEAR TO ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES LEAD TO
INCREASED SNOW MELT AND FAVORABLE CONDITIONS FOR ICE JAM
DEVELOPMENT. THE POTENTIAL FOR MODERATE RAINFALL FROM TUESDAY
NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT WILL ONLY EXACERBATE THE
SITUATION...LEADING TO RUNOFF DUE TO A DEEP GROUND FROST REMAINING
ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH
WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA...AND THURSDAY AND THURSDAY
NIGHT ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL AND EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND WEST
CENTRAL WISCONSIN. THE GREATEST POTENTIAL WILL BE WEDNESDAY NIGHT
AS A FRONT SWEEPS THROUGH THE AREA. AT THIS TIME...THE STORMS ARE
NOT EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE...BUT RAINFALL MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
