Lightning struck a house on the 300 block of Still Forest. The lightning destroyed all the wiring in the house, also damaging the roof, insulation, sheetrock, and carpet. The Fire Marshall estimated damages at $60,000.
Four mobile homes and two homes under construction were damaged one mile west of Seagonville. In addition, trees were uprooted and power lines downed throughout the county. Damage was reported along the North Central Expressway in northeast Dallas; in an area encompassed by Interstate 35 East to the north, Loop 12 to the west, and Interstate 30 to the south. Similar damage was also reported in the southern part of the county. Power was knocked out to about 4,500 customers.
Minor flooding occurred on secondary roads in the northern part of the county.
Minor street flooding was reported in Keller.
Lightning struck near a residential pool on the 400 block of Chelsea Bay. Firefighters found smoking breakers and the pool equipment inoperable.
