.DISCUSSION...
COLD FRONT HAS CLEARED THE PANHANDLES THIS AFTERNOON...HOWEVER IT IS
SHOWING SIGNS OF BACKING UP ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST TEXAS PANHANDLE. BUT
AS NIGHTFALL APPROACHES...BELIEVE THAT THE FRONT WILL PUSH BACK TO
THE SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST. THINK THE NAM MODEL IS MOST CORRECT IN
BRINGING THE LOW CLOUDS OVER EASTERN COLORADO AND WESTERN KANSAS
SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA. STILL WENT WITH THE COOLER MAV GUIDANCE
NUMBERS AS MODELS ARE UNDER-DOING THE AMOUNT OF COLD AIR. UNDER CUT
THE MAV NUMBERS ON TUESDAY FOR HIGHS AS LOW CLOUDS MAY STICK AROUND
IN THE MORNING. HOWEVER...DID NOT GO AS LOW AS THE NAM.

THE NAM HANDLES THE SURFACE HIGH BUILDING INTO THE PANHANDLES ON
TUESDAY NIGHT THE BEST. WILL NEED TO WATCH FOR POSSIBLE FREEZE
WARNINGS ACROSS THE NORTH AND WEST FOR EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING AS
LOW CLOUDS SHOULD BE LIMITED.

ALL EYES THEN TURN TO THE NEXT UPPER LOW WHICH GETS CUT OFF OVER
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND SOUTHERN ARIZONA BY MID WEEK. THERE ARE A
FEW TIMING DIFFERENCES WITH THE MODELS...BUT A GENERAL SLOW DOWN OF
THE UPPER LOW LOOKS TO BE THE TREND. HAVE GONE AHEAD AND EXTENDED
POPS INTO SUNDAY NIGHT WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF THE STORM SLOWING UP.

GENERALLY FOLLOWED THE MEX NUMBERS FOR HIGHS AND POPS FROM DAY 4 AND
BEYOND. CAN NOT FIND A REASON TO GO AGAINST THE POPS FRIDAY THROUGH
SUNDAY AS UPPER LOW REMAINS TO OUR WEST AND A SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT
PREVAILS ACROSS THE PANHANDLES WHICH COULD BRING A MINOR SHORT WAVE
ACROSS THE AREA JUST ABOUT ANYTIME.
