The episode as NWS ABR wrote it up.
Severe (D2) drought conditions improved throughout the month to moderate (D1) conditions by the third week. By the end of the month, the drought conditions improved to abnormally dry (D0) conditions. Above normal rainfall for the month of September brought about the improved drought conditions. The improved drought conditions came a little late for the crops and pastureland across the area.
