THE EVOLVING 500 MB PATTERN THIS EVENING. GFS CLOSES OFF UPPER LOW
CIRCULATION NEAR 45N 136W AND MOVES IT EAST TO NEAR 45N 130W BY 12Z
THURSDAY. THE SURFACE FRONT WILL MOVE ONSHORE THURSDAY MORNING THEN
ACROSS THE REGION DURING THE DAY. WINDS WILL INCREASE ALONG THE
COAST AHEAD OF THE FRONT LATER TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.
WIND SPEEDS ARENT OVERLY IMPRESSIVE...MARGINAL HIGH WIND CRITERIA
FOR A RELATIVELY SHORT PERIOD OF STRONG GUSTY WINDS.
THE CLOSED LOW IS FORECAST NOT TO MOVE MUCH THURSDAY REMAINING JUST
OFF THE NORTH OREGON COAST. BY LATE FRIDAY THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH
WILL FINALLY BEGIN TO MOVE INLAND. ON SATURDAY THE TROUGH WILL STILL
BE OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST WITH A COOL MOIST NORTHWEST FLOW OVER
THE REGION.
IN THE EXTENDED...CONFIDENCE REMAINS LOW. WILL PRETTY MUCH FOLLOW
