A northwest flow of cold air behind an exiting low pressure system produced several periods of shallow convective snow showers which developed during peak afternoon heating. The accumulation occurred in narrow bands, with up to 2 inches of accumulation reported 9 miles east of Moulton in Lawrence County. Several other reports of 1 to 1.5 inches of accumulation were received in nearby communities in the Tennessee Valley.
