Thunderstorms, in the vicinity of a frontal boundary, produced heavy rainfall and some wind damage as they slowly moved across northern Wisconsin. One of the storms snapped several trees and knocked over irrigation equipment in eastern Lincoln county. There were reports of street flooding in Vilas county at Lac du Flambeau and Arbor Vitae, in Oneida county at Minocqua, in Lincoln county at Merrill, in Langlade county at Antigo, in Marathon county at Wausau, Schofield and Rib Mountain, and in northern Oconto county at Lakewood. Rainfall totals of 5.80 inches at St. Germain (Vilas co.) and 4.70 inches at Phelps (Vilas co.) were recorded for the 24 hours ending at 6 AM on the 5th.
