EAST OF BLOWING ROCK...WERE DRIFTING EAST AND WERE LIKELY PRODUCING
SMALL HAIL. CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND GUSTY WINDS WERE ALSO

...ISOLATED SEVERE WEATHER POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON...
STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED THIS AFTERNOON ALONG
THE EASTERN SLOPES OF THE MOUNTAINS. STRONG STORMS WERE LOCATED IN
CALDWELL COUNTY NORTH CAROLINA...SOUTHWEST TO POLK COUNTY. A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM WAS IN EXTREME NORTHEAST OCONEE COUNTY SOUTH
CAROLINA. A FEW MORE STORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE DURING THE AFTERNOON.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE THOSE WHICH CAUSE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING
WINDS.
THE STORMS WILL DRIFT TO THE SOUTHEAST IN MOST CASES...ALSO CAUSING
VERY HEAVY RAINFALL FOR A SHORT TIME. IF A STORM MOVES ACROSS AN
URBAN AREA...SOME URBAN FLOODING COULD DEVELOP.
