Dense fog formed near a slow moving warm front during the morning of the 12th. It caused schools to have delayed openings in Sussex County. It also contributed to vehicular accidents. A two vehicle crash closed the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 13 for five hours near Delmar. A 28-year-old man suffered a serious head injury after his Sports Utility Vehicle struck a tractor trailer. His passenger was also seriously injured. Another vehicle overturned on Delaware State Route 30 just west of Milton.
