A fast moving Pacific storm buffeted the northern mountains and much of the central mountain areas of western Colorado with strong winds and 5 to 10 inches of new snow. Frequent wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph were recorded. Locally higher gusts included 83 mph at Monarch Pass and 56 mph at the top of the Telluride Ski Area.
