.SHORT TERM...TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT
LARGE CYCLONE IS WELL TO OUR NORTH. DRY AIR OVER MUCH OF THE STATE
WITH A SLIGHT RECOVERY OF DEW POINTS OVER EASTERN ARKANSAS.
FORECAST ALREADY INCLUDED SLIGHT CHANCES FOR THE EAST
TONIGHT...AND THAT WILL DO WELL. NEXT UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL BE WELL
DEFINED BY TOMORROW MORNING. IT WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH EAST...
BRINGING INCREASING CHANCES OF PRECIPITATION TO THE STATE AS THE
DAY GOES ON TOMORROW. THE HIGHEST CHANCES OF RAIN WILL COME
DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING.
PREVIOUS FORECAST ALREADY INCLUDED LIKELY POPS...SO I BUMPED THEM
TO NEAR 80 PERCENT TOMORROW NIGHT. DRYING IS STILL ON ITS WAY
ACROSS ARKANSAS FOR THE WEEK END.
&&

.LONG TERM...SUNDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
HIGH PRESSURE WILL BE ACROSS THE AREA FOR THE EARLY PART OF THE
EXTENDED PERIOD WITH SEASONAL TEMPERATURES CONTINUING. DRY WEATHER
IS EXPECTED FOR SUNDAY AND MONDAY. A SHIFT TO A SOUTHWEST FLOW LATE
MONDAY NIGHT WILL LEAD TO INCREASED MOISTURE ACROSS THE AREA. A COLD
FRONT WILL BE APPROACHING FROM THE WEST AND OPEN UP THE GULF. WILL
HAVE POPS IN FOR TUESDAY AND DURING THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY. FRONT
SHOULD MOVE THROUGH THE AREA ON LATE TUESDAY NIGHT AND ON WEDNESDAY.
