Heavy rain began over the north side of the Wrangell Mountains July 1st, Friday night. Flooding began to occur along small streams between Nabesna and Slana Saturday afternoon.

Heavy rain began over the north side of the Wrangell Mountains July 1st, Friday night. Flooding began to occur along small streams between Nabesna and Slana Saturday afternoon. The flooding resulted in wash outs along the road to Nabesna where un-named streams cross the road.

RESIDES OVER ALL OF ALASKA.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ALONG WITH LIGHTENING OVER SECTIONS OF THE
INTERIOR PARTS OF THE AOR CONTINUE TO DIE DOWN AS THE MORNING
PROGRESSES. LITTLE TO NOTE ON THE SURFACE MAP EXCEPT FOR A 1001 MB
LOW APPROACHING DUTCH HARBOR. ASSOCIATED FRONT AHEAD OF THE LOW IS
SPREADING AMPLE MOISTURE EASTWARD UP INTO THE PENINSULA.

...FOR THE FORECAST...
LITTLE DISAGREEMENT AMONG THE MODELS.  ALL OF THEM BRING THE LOW NEAR
DUTCH TO THE SOUTHEAST WHILE A RIDGE IN THE GULF PROGRESSES A BIT TO
THE EAST AND REMAINS AN INFLUENCE IN THE EASTERN AREAS AT LEAST INTO
TUESDAY. TODAYS RUN HAS THE TRACK OF THE LOW FURTHER TO THE SOUTH SO
ITS EFFECTS WILL NOT BE GREATLY FELT EVEN IN THE COASTAL SECTIONS.
SOME INCREASE IN SWELL CAN BE EXPECTED IN ADVANCE OF IT.

OUT WEST THE WEATHER REMAINS VERY TRANQUIL AS A WEAK NORTHWEST FLOW
DEVELOPS BEHIND THE LOW. OUTSIDE OF FOG DEVELOPING THE PATTERN LOOKS
MOSTLY DRY FROM THE ALASKA PENINSULA WESTWARD.

NEXT LOW LINING UP MOVES SOUTH OF THE ALEUTIANS ON THURSDAY. TRACK
HAS IT MOVING EVEN FURTHER SOUTH THAN THE TRACK OF THE CURRENT LOW.
