HIGH PRESSURE TO THE NORTH OF THE ISLANDS WILL KEEP THE TRADES
BLOWING THROUGH THE ISLANDS THROUGH AT LEAST EARLY NEXT WEEK. THE
TRADES ARE EXPECTED TO FIRM UP SLIGHTLY OVER THE WEEKEND AS THE
HIGH PRESSURE STRENGTHENS. THE DRY WEATHER OF THE PAST FEW DAYS IS
JUST ABOUT OVER AS BOTH SATELLITE AND WEATHER RADAR ARE DETECTING
LIGHT SHOWER-BEARING CLOUDS UPWIND OF MOST ISLANDS THIS EVENING.

THE FEW RAIN DROPS WHILE HEADING INTO WORK THIS EVENING IS PERHAPS
A SIGN OF THE RETURN OF THE TRADE SHOWERS WHICH HAVE BEEN ABSENT FOR
MOST ISLANDS DURING THE PAST FEW DAYS. SATELLITE IMAGERY AND WEATHER
RADAR SHOWS A BIT MORE SHOWERS UPWIND OF THE MAIN HAWAIIAN ISLANDS
THIS EVENING. ALTHOUGH THESE SHOWERS ARE LIKELY TO ONLY PRODUCE
LIGHT RAINFALL AMOUNTS ESPECIALLY OVER THE WINDWARD AND MOUNTAIN
AREAS...IT IS A SIGN OF THE RETURN TO MORE TYPICAL TRADE WIND
REGIME. SO GRID-WISE...THE ISOLATED SHOWERS FOR THE SMALLER ISLANDS
AND SCATTERED FOR THE WINDWARD BIG ISLAND FOR THE TONIGHT AND FRIDAY
PERIODS LOOKS GOOD.
