THE ISLANDS. A WEAK UPPER LOW MAY ENHANCE SHOWERS NEXT WEEK.

NORTH PACIFIC SOUTH OF 40N AND IS FORECAST TO REMAIN NEARLY
STATIONARY THROUGH THE NEXT FIVE DAYS. TRADE WINDS WILL GENERALLY
STAY IN THE MODERATE RANGE ACROSS THE ISLANDS...WITH LIGHTER WINDS
EXPECTED AT NIGHT.

CLOUD BANDS ASSOCIATED WITH OLD SHEARLINES AND COLD FRONTS IN THE
MID-LATITUDE WESTERLIES ARE FORECAST TO GET CAUGHT UP IN THE TRADES
AND CROSS OVER THE ISLANDS AT IRREGULAR INTERVALS. THE MAIN EFFECT
THESE CLOUD BANDS WILL HAVE IS TO BRIEFLY INCREASE SHOWER COVERAGE.
A WEAK UPPER LOW EXPECTED TO FORM EAST OF THE ISLANDS...THEN DRIFT
WEST OVER THE ISLANDS LATE THIS COMING WEEKEND...MAY ENHANCE SHOWERS
