SIGNIFICANT SHORT WAVE OVER CENTRAL TEXAS MOVING SOUTHEAST WITH
DEVELOPMENT OF THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHERN HILL COUNTRY. THIS
SHORT WAVE (AND RESULTING CONVECTION) SHOULD MOVE INTO NORTHEASTERN
AREAS BY LATE AFTERNOON AND PUSH OUT OF AREA BY LATE EVENING.
RESIDUAL MOISTURE AND BOUNDARIES LEFT FROM THIS ACTIVITY MAY BE
ENOUGH FOR WIDELY SCATTERED DEVELOPMENT TOMORROW AFTERNOON OVER
HILLS AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF CWA...THOUGH UPPER DYNAMICS WEAK.

CONTINUED WEAKENING OF UPPER RIDGE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY WILL
PROVIDE MORE FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
STORMS AS MOIST SOUTHERLY LOW LEVEL GULF FLOW CONTINUES.

ANOTHER SHORT WAVE WILL MOVE ACROSS THE SOUTHERN U.S. PLAINS FRIDAY
WITH WEAK TROFFINESS OVER SOUTH TEXAS AND CONTINUED CHANCES FOR
RAIN. RESIDUAL MOISTURE MAY AGAIN HELP DEVELOP SHOWERS...STORMS OVER
THE WEEKEND WITH ACTIVITY TAPERING OFF BY NEXT MONDAY AS WESTERLIES

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY

OUTFLOW BOUNDARIES FROM THUNDERSTORMS OVER WEST CENTRAL TEXAS...AN
UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE...AND MOIST GULF AIR WILL BRING A SLIGHT
RISK FOR ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON. THE MAIN
THREAT AREA IS ALONG AND NORTHEAST OF TEXAS HIGHWAY 71...FROM LLANO
TO AUSTIN TO LA GRANGE. THE MAIN SEVERE THREATS ARE LARGE HAIL AND
DAMAGING WINDS. THE PRIMARY THREAT TIME IS FROM 2 TO 7 PM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...

A SERIES OF UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES WILL BRING ISOLATED TO
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EACH DAY. THERE IS AN OUTSIDE
CHANCE A FEW OF THESE STORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE...BUT NO WIDESPREAD
SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED.
