Severe thunderstorm wind gusts to 50 knots were measured at the Liberty Hill Middle School by the School Weather Network. No damage was indicated.
Strong thunderstorms struck the Austin metropolitan area. Severe thunderstorm wind gusts to 56 knots were measured at 1534CST at the Texas School for the Deaf by the School Weather Network. Winds damaged buildings at the intersection of US183 and Burnet Road in north Austin. A tin roof was partially blown off an adjoining shopping plaza and was blown eastward into an adjacent service station and convenience store.
