Thunderstorms dumped up to 5 inches of rain in just a few hours around Moncks Corner. Numerous streets were flooded and 5 apartments took in water.

Lightning struck a power line and traveled through the line to a Coca-Cola bottling plant in Port Royal. Two fires were started which caused some damage to the building.
