THE SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT PERTAINS TO THE FOLLOWING 5 COUNTIES
IN SOUTH CAROLINA:
CHESTERFIELD... FAIRFIELD... KERSHAW...
LANCASTER... LEE...
...STRONG LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING NORTHERN MIDLANDS...
...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM...
A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM NORTHWEST OF CHARLOTTE
SOUTHWEST TO UNION COUNTY IN THE UPSTATE REGION WILL CONTINUE TO
MOVE EAST. THESE STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING WIND DAMAGE IN
NORTH CAROLINA. THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO
LANCASTER COUNTY BETWEEN 600 PM TO 630 PM. A FEW OF THESE STORMS
COULD BECOME SEVERE PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAIN...UP TO AN INCH IS POSSIBLE.
