230 PM PDT TUE JUN 10 2003

WEDNESDAY WILL BE SLIGHTLY COOLER AS THICKNESS DECREASES AND 500MB
HEIGHTS FALL. THIS OCCURS AS A WEAK SHORT WAVE MOVES THROUGH NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA WITH THE LIFTED INDEX LOWERING TO -1. THIS WILL BRING
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TO MODOC COUNTY BUT JUST CUMULUS BUILDUPS
ELSEWHERE. THURSDAY A WARM FRONT BRINGS A CHANCE OF RAIN TO THE
COAST AND A SLIGHT CHANCE WEST OF THE CASCADES. THE COOL DOWN
CONTINUES FRIDAY AS A MARINE PUSH FOLLOWS THE WEAK COLD FRONT
THURSDAY NIGHT.

THE COLD FRONT ALSO CONTINUES A SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN WEST OF THE
CASCADES. HEIGHTS RISE SLIGHTLY SATURDAY BUT LOWER AGAIN SUNDAY AS
A WEAK AND MOSTLY DRY COOL FRONT COMES THROUGH. THE TROUGH ALONG THE
COAST BEGINS TO DIG MONDAY REINTRODUCING A CHANCE OF PRECIP MAINLY
WEST OF THE CASCADES. BY LATE WEDNESDAY THIS COULD FORM INTO A CLOSED
LOW OFF THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST WITH A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS
IF POSITIONED PROPERLY. WILL LEAVE OUT MENTION OF THUNDER ON
WEDNESDAY FOR NOW. MO
