.SYNOPSIS...A MINOR RISK OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL END ACROSS
EASTERN NEVADA THIS EVENING...AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS ACROSS THE
SILVER STATE. DRY WEATHER WILL CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK...
BEFORE THE HIGH PRESSURE WEAKENS BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK...WITH A
MINOR RISK OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS RETURNING.

.SHORT TERM...LATEST WATER VAPOR IMAGERY SHOWS TWO AREAS OF LOW
PRESSURE...ONE MOVING EAST ACROSS THE FOUR CORNERS...WITH ANOTHER
LOW MOVING EAST ACROSS EASTERN WA. MOISTURE ASSOC WITH THE FOUR
CORNERS LOW IS EXITING THE FA...WITH VIS SAT/RADAR SHOWING INITIAL
POP UPS ACROSS THE EXTREME SOUTHERN/EASTERN FA AHEAD OF THE
MOISTURE BOUNDARY.

TNGT...THE DRY AIR THAT HAS INFILTRATED THE WESTERN TWO-THIRDS OF
THE FA WILL MOVE ACROSS THE EASTERN PORTIONS BY MIDNIGHT AS THE LOW
CONTINUES TO EXIT THE REGION. WILL USE ISO POPS THIS EVENING FOR
ZONES 32/33/34/35/37...WITH LOW END SCT FOR GBNP CLOSEST TO THE
BEST MOISTURE/INSTABILITY.

SUN/MON...RIDGING WILL DOMINATE THE WX PICTURE ACROSS THE ENTIRE
FA...WITH SOME MOISTURE/INSTABILITY CROSSING THE SIERRA CREST BY MON
AFTN. MCLEAR/PCLDY SKIES WILL BE THE RULE WITH TEMPS FALLING TO NEAR
CLIMO BEHIND THE WEAK FRONT.

TUE...THE HIGH BEGINS TO FLATTEN SLIGHTLY...WITH MOISTURE
TRYING TO MAKE A COMEBACK...ALONG WITH CONDITIONS BECOMING LESS
STABLE...AS BOTH GFS/ETA SHOW LIS LOWERING TO NEAR ZERO ALONG THE
FAVORED CONV ZONE ACROSS THE EAST/SOUTH FA. ETA REMAINS VERY DRY...
WITH GFS MORE MOIST. ETA HAS SHOWN A DRY BIAS FOR MOST OF THE
SUMMER...THUS WILL LEAN TOWARD THE MORE MOIST GFS SOLUTION. TAKING
THIS INTO ACCOUNT...CANNOT RULE OUT SOME AFTN/EVE CONVECTION. WILL
CONTINUE THE SCHC POPS FOR ZONES 33/35/37...INCLUDING EASTERN ZONE 32
IN THE MIX AS WELL.

.EXTENDED...ECMWF/GFS DIVERGE A BIT...WITH THE GFS NUDGING THE
RIDGE EASTWARD AND AMPLIFYING IT...WITH MOISTURE POSSIBLY INCR
ACROSS THE EASTERN FA ESPECIALLY. THE ECMWF IS MORE PROGRESSIVE...
PUSHING THE HIGH WELL TO THE EAST...BRINGING A S/WV ACROSS THE
NORTHERN FA LATE WEEK. WILL LEAN TOWARD PREVIOUS TRENDS THIS
SUMMER...WITH THE SLOWER EJECTION OF THE HIGH. WILL KEEP SCHC POPS
FOR THE EASTERN FA...WITH DRY FOR THE REMAINDER. WITH THE HIGH
REBUILDING...TEMPS WILL WARM TO ABOVE CLIMO ONCE AGAIN.

MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH LOW PRESSURE MOVING INTO UTAH WILL CONTINUE
TO BRING THE THREAT OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO EASTERN NEVADA
THROUGH THIS EVENING. THE THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER OR EXCESSIVE
RAINFALL FROM THESE STORMS IS LOW.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

Flash floods closed highway 50 for over two hours five miles northeast of Baker. Mudslides caused closure of highway 50 near Sacramento Summit 18 miles northwest of Baker. Flash flooding on highway 93 twenty miles south of Majors Place caused a vehicle accident.
