THE DRIER AND MORE STABLE AIR WILL SPREAD OVER MUCH OF THE FORECAST AREA SATURDAY. .DISCUSSION...UPPER LOW OVER NV/OR BORDER WILL BE PROVIDING SOME WEAK DYNAMIC LIFT TODAY TO HELP WITH THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT. AIRMASS IS QUITE MOIST AND UNSTABLE. ETA SIGNIFICANTLY UNDERDONE ON THE INCH PLUS PRECIPITABLE WATER INITIAL FIELDS AT BOTH SLC AND RNO. ETA BUFR DATA SHOWS SLC GOING TO -6 LIFTED INDEX WITH OVER 1100 CAPE. GOES DERIVED SOUNDING AT CDC SHOWS NEARLY NEARLY AN INCH OF PRECIPITABLE WATER AND ALREADY A -2 LIFTED INDEX. SO WE SHOULD SEE FAIRLY WIDESPREAD AND WET CONVECTION TODAY. WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT A FEW HOURS TO KNOW WHERE AND HOW THE DYNAMICS FOCUS ACTIVITY. CURRENT FORECASTS PROBABLY OK WITH SCATTERED/CHANCE CATEGORY OVER MOST OF THE AREA SO WONT ISSUE ANY UPDATES NOW. BUT IF WE SEE ANY WIDESPREAD ORGANIZED AREAS DEVELOP WE MAY NEED TO ADJUSTMENTS LATER IN THE DAY.
