NOT MUCH MOISTURE TO WORK WITH PER 00Z RAOBS. WEAK SURFACE FRONT IS CURRENTLY DRAPED ACROSS THE CWFA EXTENDING FROM SOUTH CENTRAL UT TO NEAR GJT THEN NORTHEAST. A LITTLE MORE MOISTURE NORTH OF THE FRONT WITH DEW POINTS IN THE LOW 30S. A WEAK SHORTWAVE MOVING ACROSS THE NORTHERN CWFA IS PRODUCING SOME 20-30 DBZ RETURNS NORTH OF THE FRONT...LIKELY RESULTING IN SOME SPRINKLES ACROSS THE ROAN-TAVAPUTS AND AREAS NORTH. LOW AMPLITUDE FLOW IS FORECAST TO CONTINUE ACROSS THE CWFA THROUGH THE SHORT TERM WITH SMALL PIECES OF ENERGY MOVING ACROSS THE AREA. AFOREMENTIONED BOUNDARY WILL REMAIN ACROSS THE AREA TODAY AND MAY ACT AS A FOCUS FOR ISOLATED AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE HIGH BASED WITH ISOLATED DRY THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE. MIXED LAYER WILL BE DEEP THIS AFTERNOON BUT MID LEVEL WINDS NOT FORECAST TO BE STRONG. TEMPS SHOULD BE A LITTLE COOLER ACROSS THE NORTH TODAY...WITH NEAR PERSISTENCE FOR CENTRAL AND SOUTH ZONES. MID LEVEL FLOW IS FORECAST TO VEER TO THE WEST AND NORTHWEST THURSDAY AS A RIDGE BUILDS OVER THE WEST COAST AND A WEAK SHORTWAVE MOVES ACROSS WY.
