A line of thunderstorms crossed Malheur County producing outflow winds measured at 50 knots at the Ontario airport.
A severe thunderstorm cell dropped 1.5 inch diameter hail that covered the highway in Sumpter and damaged vehicles in the town of Haines. The storm also produced winds that knocked a tree down onto a vehicle, injuring two people inside.
