LARGE UPPER HIGH PRESSURE REMAINS OVER UTAH WITH STRONG FLOW AROUND
THE HIGH. SHORTWAVE TROUGH OFF THE NORTHWEST COAST TO MOVE INLAND
TONIGHT WITH THE SURFACE LOW MOVING NORTH INTO CANADA. THERE IS
FAIRLY GOOD MOISTURE AT THE MID AND HIGH LEVELS. AS A
RESULT...ADDITIONAL CONVECTION WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP THROUGH THE
REST OF THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. LOWER LEVELS ARE STILL VERY DRY
AND THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR DOWNBURST WINDS WITH THE THUNDERSTORMS
THAT DEVELOP. UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM CONTINUES TO MOVE EAST ON SUNDAY
WITH MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY LINGERING OVER THE MOUNTAINS. ON
MONDAY THE RIDGE STARTS TO REBUILD WITH TROUGH OFF THE WEST COAST
GIVING THE REGION A MAINLY DRY AND WARMER DAY. TEMPERATURES WILL
COOL ABOUT 10-15 DEGREES ON SUNDAY AND THEN WARMUP THROUGH TUESDAY.
BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS THROUGH THE COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE AND
KITTITAS VALLEYS WITH SYSTEM TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. LOHMANN
EXTENDED...A MINOR MARINE PUSH WILL PASS THROUGH THE NORTHWEST ON
WEDNESDAY AND WILL ALLOW FOR LESS WARM TEMPERATURES FOR THE REST OF
THE WEEK AS THE HIGH PRESSURE AREA TO THE SOUTHEAST RETREATS. THERE
IS A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS ON WEDNESDAY IN THE NORTHEAST
MOUNTAINS AS A WEAK MIDDLE LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES THROUGH THE AREA
FROM THE SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST. OTHERWISE...CONDITIONS WILL BE DRY.
