THE ANTICIPATED COLD FRONT IS SHOWING SIGNS MOVEMENT TOWARDS THE
FORECAST AREA AND IS EXPECTED TO CROSS THE REGION BY EARLY TUESDAY
MORNING. STRONG WINDS AHEAD OF THE FRONT HAVE BEGUN TO SUBSIDE BELOW
WARNING CRITERIA AT THE COAST BUT REMAIN BREEZY/WINDY ACROSS MANY
INLAND LOCATIONS. A SPOTTER REPORT WITH GUSTS OVER 60 MPH IN THE
SUMMER LAKE AREA PROMPTED THE ISSUANCE OF A WIND ADVISORY FOR CENTRAL
LAKE COUNTY EARLIER THIS EVENING AS THESE WINDS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO
DIMINISH UNTIL THE COLD FRONT PUSHES THROUGH THE AREA.
ADDITIONALLY...WINDS ACROSS THE SHASTA VALLEY REMAIN GUSTY AND WILL
HANG ON TO WIND ADVISORY THERE UNTIL AT LEAST 10 PM. RAINFALL HAS
BEEN VERY SPOTTY SO FAR AWAY FROM THE COAST BUT DO STILL EXPECT MORE
WIDESPREAD RAINFALL TO PUSH ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA WITH THE COLD
FRONT. EXPECT THIS FRONT TO BE EAST OF THE AREA BY EARLY AFTERNOON
TUESDAY AS THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH THEN BEGINS TO CROSS THE AREA.
EXPECT A DRAMATIC DECREASE IN AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES FROM THIS
AFTERNOON RECORD HIGHS (MFR & LMT) ON TUESDAY AS TEMPERATURES ALOFT
