220 PM EDT TUE AUG 20 2002

ZFP:  CLOUD COVER HAS SLOWED THE DEVELOPMENT OF CONVECTION THIS
AFTERNOON WITH SOME CLEARING TO THE WEST. LATEST RADAR SCAN  SHOWING
A CELL DEVELOPING JUST NORTH OF THE CWA IN DUPLIN AND SAMPSON
COUNTIES.

MODELS CONTINUE TO PUSH FRONTAL BOUNDARY SOUTHWARD WITH THE AVN
BEING THE MOST AGGRESSIVE TO THE SOUTH. AS UPPER LEVEL HIGH OVER THE
SOUTHEAST CONTINUES OVER THE REGION A COUPLE OF WEAK SHORTWAVES
ROTATE TO THE WEST SOUTHWEST JUST SOUTH OF THE AREA. THERE IS
LITTLE LIFT UNTIL LATER IN THE WEEK WITH THE APPROACHING FRONT BY
THE WEEKEND.  WILL CONTINUE WITH A GENEROUS 30 POP THROUGH MIDNIGHT
AS CLOUD COVER CONTINUES TO ERODE.

WILL NOT STRAY TO FAR FROM GUIDANCE TEMPERATURES AND WILL FAVOR THE
MEAN ENSEMBLE MOS GUIDANCE FOR TEMPERATURES IN THE EXTENDED.

CWF: BENIGN PATTERN WILL CONTINUE WITH WINDS 15 KT OR LESS OVER
THE NEXT 5 DAYS.  BOTH WED AND SAT BECOME A LITTLE TRICKY WITH WEAK
FRONTS TRYING TO SAG INTO AREA.   THINK I CAN HANG ON TO SW INTO WED
MORNING AND BACK AROUND TO E/SE BY WED NIGHT WITH THE FIRST FRONT.
SAT A LITTLE TOUGHER TO TIME SO WILL GO VARIABLE FOR NOW.  SEAS 2-3
FT THRU THE PERIOD.
