A light coating of freezing rain, early on the morning of Friday, December 20, glazed many roads in the Lake George Saratoga region. Due to a multitude of accidents, the Adirondack Northway was closed between Exits 25 and 22 for more than three hours.

A light coating of freezing rain, early on the morning of Friday, December 20, glazed many roads in the Lake George Saratoga region. Due to a multitude of accidents, the Adirondack Northway was closed between Exits 25 and 22 for more than three hours. Many other roads were considered impassable as well, due to a coating of ice. After about 800 AM the temperature rose above freezing, melting the ice off roadways.
