The Houston Home Journal of Perry reported that a large tree was blown down on a house causing considerable damage to the house. The front porch collapsed and there was considerable damage to the roof.
The Telfair county 911 center reported that several trees were down.
The Carroll county Emergency Management Director reported that several trees were down, including some on power lines, in the Mt Zion area.
The public reported two trees down near Starrs Mill, an off duty National Weather Service employee observed one tree down on Georgia Highway 85 north of Starrs Mill, and an amateur radio operator reported one tree down on Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.
The Times/Herald newspaper of Newnan reported that thunderstorm winds blew down a large oak tree at a residence along Georgia Highway 54 between Sharpsburg and Peachtree City. The downed tree severely damaged two cars and a house and also knocked down a power line. The power line started a fire which destroyed a third car.
The Haralson county 911 center reported that four trees were down on Georgia Highway 120 midway between Buchanan and Tallapoosa.
The Paulding county 911 center reported that several trees were down on power lines in Dallas and near Yorkville along Georgia Highway 101. The public reported that several trees were down on power lines along Georgia Highway 101 between Beulah and Union. Numerous power failures resulted, leaving one area near Union without power throughout the evening.
The Cobb county 911 center reported that several trees and a couple of power lines were down across the county.
The Cherokee county 911 center reported that numerous trees and power lines were down from Canton to Woodstock.
The public reported that a tree was blown down on a home causing some damage to the roof of the structure.
The Madisonian newspaper of Madison reported that thunderstorm winds blew down a large section of the trusses of a Senior Citizens Center that was under construction.
The Times newspaper of Gainesville reported that several trees and power lines were knocked down around the county because of high winds. A large oak tree fell on a home in Gainesville demolishing a sunroom and damaging the back of the house. Downed power lines resulted in the closure of a portion of Georgia Highway 60 in north Hall county until the lines could be repaired. At least 600 customers in the county were without power during the evening.
The Athens Banner Herald reported that heavy rain, on the order of 2.3 inches in a one-hour period, resulted in brief flooding of some streets, including the intersection of Lumpkin and Baxter streets, Mitchell Bridge Road, and Atlanta Highway.
The Lumpkin county 911 center reported scattered trees down in several areas around the county. The Amicalola Electric Membership Cooperative noted at least one tree down in the southern part of the county.
