Heavy snow was reported by the Kaltag cooperative observer. The report indicated 6 inches of new snowfall over a 12 hour period.

Heavy snow was reported by the Kaltag cooperative observer. The report indicated 6 inches of new snowfall over a 12 hour period. Heavy snow resulted as an occluded frontal boundary laden with moisture slowly moved across the region. Terrain influences also enhanced snowfall amounts in this area as the occluded front moved in from the east creating upslope condtions over the Nulato Hills.
