Blizzard in Alaska, January 25, 2002
A deepening low over the western Bering Sea rapidly moved north towards St. Lawrence Island bringing with it snow and strong winds.

A deepening low over the western Bering Sea rapidly moved north towards St. Lawrence Island bringing with it snow and strong winds. This combination of snow and winds was sufficient enough to create blizzard conditions at Savoonga and Gambell.
