TRICKY FORECAST NEXT COUPLE PERIODS WITH PRESENTS OF FAY OVER WEST
GULF...EDOUARDO REMNANTS JUST SOUTH OF DAUPHIN ISLAND AND RIDGING
SUBSIDENCE/DRY AIR PRESSING IN FROM THE NE. PREFER THE AVN SOLUTION
...ESPECIALLY WITH IT BEING THE SLOWEST ON TAKING T.S. FAY INLAND
OVER TX ON SATURDAY AND NOT DRYING THE FA OUT UNTIL SUNDAY. SATL WV
SHOWS NORTHERN EDGE OF BEST MOISTURE AXIS SPLITING THE ZONES FROM SE
TO NW. EDOUARDO REMNANTS WILL PUSH NW AND INLAND OVER SOUTH MS/LA
OVERNIGHT WITH ITS N-NE CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY HOLDING BEST RAIN
CHANCES ALONG THE COAST AND GENERALLY SOUTH OF A PENSACOLA TO LAUREL
MS LINE TONIGHT-SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

PRESSURE GRADIENT HAS RESULTED GUSTY WINDS ALONG THE COASTAL
SECTIONS...BUT SO FAR WINDS ARE RUNNING AROUND 15G25 MPH WHICH IS
UNDER WIND ADVISORY CRITERIA...SO WILL JUST WITH BREEZY WORDING IN
ZONES THRU TONIGHT. WINDS HAVE ALSO RESULTED IN A SLIGHT THREAT OF
SOME MINOR/ISOLATED COASTAL FLOOD PROBLEMS OVERNIGHT...MAINLY AFTER
IDNIGHT WITH ONSET OF HIGH TIDES TOWARD 10 AM SATURDAY MORNING.
LATEST SURFACE SHOWS TIGHTEST GRADIENT IS ALONG THE COAST NOW WITH
EDOUARDO REMNANTS JUST SOUTH OF DAUPHIN ISLAND. EXPECT TRACK OF
EDOUARDO PUSHING NW AND INLAND OVERNIGHT TO RESULT IN SOME RELAXING
OF THE GRADIENT TOWARD MORNING OR HIGH TIDE. THEREFORE...WILL NOT
ISSUE A COASTAL FLOOD WATCH/WARNING...BUT WILL ISSUE A MARINE
WEATHER STATEMENT IDENTIFYING THE NUISANCE FLOOD THREAT AND HIGH
SURF.

OVER THE WEEKEND...SCATTERED POPS STILL WARRANTED ALONG COAST AND
WESTERN ZONES...BUT SLIGHT CHANCE WILL SUFFICE NE WHERE THE DRIER
AIR AND BETTER SUBSIDENCE WILL WIN OUT. RIDGING WILL BUILD IN OVER
THE REGION BY SUNDAY IN WAKE OF FAY AND EDOUARDO REMNANTS...WITH
DRIER/MILDER CONDITIONS CONTINUING.

EXTENDED...UPPER SHORT WAVE TROF BREAKS OFF FROM REMNANTS OF FAY BY
EARLY TUESDAY AND TRACKS EASTWARD ACROSS THE NORTHERN GULF THRU
FRIDAY. THE ASSOCIATED SURFACE LOW ALSO TRACKS EASTWARD...STAYING
OFFSHORE AS IT PUSHES OFF THE GA/CAROLINA COAST BY FRIDAY MORNING.
DEEPER MOISTURE AND BEST RAIN CHANCES APPEAR TO REMAIN OFFSHORE.
HOWEVER...WILL CONTINUE THE MENTION OF DIURNALLY DRIVEN SCATTERED
AFTERNOON/EVENING ACTIVITY THRU THE PERIOD FOR NOW.

MARINE/TIDES/RIP CURRENTS...WILL POST SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY TONIGHT
AND CONTINUE THRU SATURDAY AFTN AS GRADIENT REMAINS TIGHT. TIDES
ARE RUNNING ABOUT 1 FOOT ABOVE FCSTD LEVELS. THIS COUPLED WITH
15-25 MPH EASTERLIES ALONG THE COAST HAS RESULTED IN STRONG SURF AND
MODERATE RIP CURRENT THREAT ALONG ALABAMA AND NW FLORIDA BEACHES.

FIRE...DISPERSION VALUES WILL UP A BIT TNGT-SATURDAY OVER COASTAL
SECTIONS WITH 15+ MPH WINDS. WILL MONITOR SUNDAY CLOSELY AS DRIER
AIR FILTERS IN AND PUSHES AFTN RH VALUES CLOSE TO CRITICAL LEVELS.
