RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE REMAINS ANCHORED OVER THE CENTRAL PORTION OF
THE COUNTRY WITH A TROUGH OFF THE NORTHWEST COAST. THIS LEAVES
WYOMING IN A CONTINUED SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
ACROSS THE CWFA THIS AFTERNOON. EXPECT THIS ACTIVITY TO CONTINUE INTO
EARLY THIS EVENING BEFORE DIMINISHING AROUND SUNSET. EVEN THOUGH
DYNAMICS ARE LACKING MONDAY HEATING OF THE DAY AND SURFACE COLD FRONT
OVER SOUTHERN MONTANA SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR ANOTHER ROUND OF ISOLATED
AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS. THE COLD FRONT IS THEN SHOWN TO
MOVE ACROSS THE NORTHEASTERN FA MONDAY EVENING AND STALL ACROSS
EAST CENTRAL SECTIONS TUESDAY. IN ADDITION...SHORT WAVES AND MORE
MOISTURE LEAD TO A BETTER CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS ON TUESDAY.
TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN VERY WARM MOST SECTIONS MONDAY THEN DROP OFF
SOME TUESDAY BUT I WILL BE ABOVE GUIDANCE VALUES. IN THE EXTENDED...
CONTINUED SOUTHWEST FLOW WITH EMBEDDED SHORT WAVES COULD BRING MORE
THUNDERSTORMS WEDNESDAY. AFTER THAT MRF AND ECMWF IN REASONABLE
AGREEMENT IN RETROGRESSION OF RIDGE WESTWARD INTO OUR AREA. THIS
SHOULD RESULT IcN MAINLY DRY AND WARM CONDITIONS THURSDAY INTO THE
WEEKEND.
