PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN ARE EXPECTED OVER SOUTHEAST TEXAS
INTO WEDNESDAY. 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN IS FORECAST OVER THE AREA...
WITH THE HEAVIEST TOTALS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 10.

BE ALERT FOR HIGH STANDING WATER IN AREAS OF POOR DRAINAGE. WHEN
DRIVING...SLOW DOWN AND AVOID SUDDEN SWERVES TO KEEP FROM
HYDROPLANING.

WHILE SIGNIFICANT FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED...SOME AREA
WATERWAYS COULD REACH BANKFULL LEVELS. SOIL MOISTURE LEVELS
ARE HIGH DUE TO OUR RECENT ABUNDANT RAINFALL. THIS LEADS TO INCREASED
RUNOFF INTO AREA STREAMS AND CREEKS...CAUSING THEM TO RISE MORE
RAPIDLY.

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL CROSS THE AREA WEDNESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY NIGHT. THE THREAT OF HEAVY RAIN WILL END AS IT MOVES EAST
OF THE REGION.
