BOTH SATELLITE IMAGERY AND MODEL GUIDANCE SUGGEST THAT THE FORECAST
AREA WILL CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE CONSIDERABLE CLOUDINESS AND
PRECIPITATION AT LEAST OVER THE NEXT 48 HOURS. LOW LEVEL SOUTHEAST
WIND FLOW WILL CONTINUE TO ADVECT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE INTO THE AREA.
THE FORECAST AREA IS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A MID LEVEL TROUGH
WHICH IS THE OUTER PERIPHERY OF THE LARGE LOW AFFECTING THE
SOUTHEAST U.S. THE 500 MB GEOPOT. HEIGHTS SHOULD CONTINUE TO
DROP...WITH MODEST INCREASE IN VORTICITY AND LARGE SCALE LIFT...OVER
THE NEXT 48 HOURS. IN ADDITION...UPPER LEVEL WINDS ARE FORECAST TO
INCREASE...BECOMING NEAR 60 KNOTS AT 300 MB ON FRIDAY. THUS THERE IS
A CHANCE OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS...BUT BECOMING MORE LIKELY ON
FRIDAY.
